DCW was born from Amina’s personal journey. After developing a visual impairment that could have been prevented with the right information and care, Amina realized firsthand what it means to grow up without access to proper resources and support.
Determined to make a difference, she founded DCW — an organization dedicated to sharing knowledge, lived experiences, and ongoing support with families of children with disabilities in rural Uganda, especially in the communities surrounding Namutumba, where the need is great but resources are scarce.
In partnership with R&A School, DCW works to provide accessible and inclusive education for children with disabilities, creating a space where they can grow, learn, and thrive regardless of the challenges they face.
Unfortunately, many families cannot afford essential equipment such as braille machines, white canes, wheelchairs, or custom seating for children with physical disabilities. That’s why we are investing in this website and social media — to reach more people, build connections, and seek better solutions for children who are currently left behind.
Every story matters. Every act of support makes a difference.
Join us in creating a more inclusive and empowered future for all children.
