Who we are

We are an organization based in Namutumba, Uganda, dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable children and families in our community. We work with children with disabilities, children growing up with very limited resources, and those whose parents are also living with disabilities. We believe that, despite the challenges, every child deserves to feel loved, supported, and given the chance to build a future full of hope.

Our team shares one vision: to create an environment in R&A Nursery and Primary School where no child is excluded because of their circumstances. Through education, family support, basic care, and community inclusion, we strive to walk alongside them through every step they take.

Our mission is to provide:

Shelter

We provide accomodation to give children not just a roof over their heads, but a true home — a place where they feel safe, cared for, and valued. Because sometimes their families do not have enough resources and sometimes we just try to lend a hand to those in need.

Food

We believe no child should go to bed hungry. That’s why we provide daily meals, giving children the strength to learn, play, and develop their skills.

Education

We believe every child deserves the chance to learn. That’s why we open the doors of education, giving them hope, confidence, and the opportunity to develop their skills

Sense of belonging

In DCW, we believe no one should ever feel alone. That’s why we create a sense of belonging, where children and families with all kinds of disabilities (hearing, physical, mental, down sindrome…) are embraced, valued, and supported as part of one big family.
